Portobello Bride Featured Wedding: Kirsty & Michael by Caspix Photography

Today's wedding may not be filled with all the details that we do really love here at Portobello, but we really wanted to share this wedding with you; as it shows how you can still celebrate your wedding with all the tradition and formality in a relaxed, elegant style.

I think what made Kirsty and Michael's wedding stand out, was not only the beautiful Hunter Valley location, but the way Caspix captured their wedding day in the same classic and timeless style as the day itself. There are so many weddings photographed with quirky posed shots, that it was refreshing to see one photographed in a traditional style with lovely group portraits and candid images of the day. I have no doubt Kirsty and Michael will forever love their wedding photos, as they are simply beautiful, timeless images that really resonate with the couples style.

With Kirsty being the eldest of seven children, and the first to marry. We have no doubt this will be a family favourite.

We are seriously loving the 1950's vintage wedding cars.
The choice of relaxed bouquets of daisies help this traditional wedding achieve a relaxed and warm feel.

Thank you Caspix for sharing these lovely images of Kirsty and Michael's wedding with us.

Portobello Bride Featured Wedding: Katie & Bret by Michelle Fiona Photography

The pretty floral details from today's beautiful wedding photographed by Michelle Fiona Photography make this wedding extra special in our eyes. Pretty pastel florals were the stand out feature of Katie and Bret's Sydney wedding, which were designed by the very talented Mandy Voulgaropoulos from Opulent Garden.

Katie's wedding dress is by Rose & Ruby, oh how we miss them.

As you know I love a bunch of littlie's in a bridal party, Katie's flower girls are the perfect addition to such a pretty wedding.

The perfect mix of floral's for Katie's bouquet.

The bridesmaids gowns were also by Rose & Ruby.

Mandy decorated the cake table with spanish moss and votive candles.
LOVE the details for the cupcake display.

Thank you Mandy for sharing images from Katie & Bret's wedding with us.

Portobello Bride Featured Wedding: Zoe & Carl by Ms. Jane

When a creative woman is planning her wedding you just know that wedding is going to be something extra special and the wedding of Graphic Designer Zoe to her man Carl is certainly a wedding full of special! Jane Poynter from Ms Jane captured the day with gorgeous images that compliment this Bride's individual style!

How stunning is this dress by Etienne Brunel!? So unique, so pretty and all the way from Paris!

Love the retro car and the very, VERY cool shoes [by Preston Zly Designs]

The juxtaposition of the bright Bridesmaid's dresses and the pastel of the Bride's bouquet is fabulous. As is the traditional feel of the Bride's bouquet against the more modern designs of the Bridesmaid's bouquets. It's little touches like this that make a wedding truly unique!

 Such a gorgeous couple!

The reception was held at Trunk a fantastic retro feel chic diner!

Congratulations Zoe and Carl! We wish you both all the best for your lives together!

Portobello Bride Featured Wedding: Ali & Jason by SugarLove Weddings

With most of Australia's population living coast-side it stands to reason that a coastal theme is often present in Australian weddings. You could choose to go all-out and create a beach extravaganza, kitsch and fun, or you could choose, like Ali and Jason, a number of coastal elements and use them in a subtle, elegant way. Portobello Bride Member SugarLove Weddings has captured this chic wedding with the gorgeous photos below.

Effortlessly glamourous!

All the Bride's attendant wore white giving the day a beautiful breezy feel!

Blue and white bouquets echo the coastal feel of this wedding.

Jason looks dashing in his casual, yet smart outfit - no tie or jacket, rolled up sleeves and waistcoat. We love it!

A beautiful moment.

Ali and Jason managed to create an atmosphere that was casual, but sophisticated at the same time, not easy to do, but they did and it is gorgeous!

Congratulations Ali and Jason. We wish you both every happiness in your lives together.
