Dessert at Tiffany's!

Juli from Sweet! Cupcakes & Treats, a favourite from our Boutique Wedding Guide has been at it again!

Here Juli explains the inspiration behind her magnificent dessert buffet shown below

"The movie ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ is iconic among the modern generation for not only its stars, but also its tilt at true love - the love between Holly and Fred that is only confirmed by seeing the final, pivotal, alley scene.

We end the movie with Holly and Fred embracing and true love winning out - but that leaves the unanswered question of ‘what happened next?’."

I think Ms Golightly would have stood in front of this delightful spread for some time in her little black Givenchy dress and pearls pondering over which cake to try first.

Sweet! Treats Competition

Portobello Bride Member Sweet Cupcakes and Treats has just launched Sweet! Boutique, where people can get a taste of the sweet life without having to spend hundreds of dollars. Sweet! Boutique will offer a range of tabletop items, as well as other pretty things owner Juli Stertern-Gill encounters in her travels, like cupcake cases and more, as well as a range of exclusive decorated cookies. Doesn't it sound divine?!

To celebrate Sweet Cupcakes and Treats is holding a competition for our lovely readers, in which you can win a pack of gorgeous entertaining products including a cake stand, food flags and cake plates valued at over $65!

To enter all you need to do is leave a comment below and describe how you would stage an afternoon tea using these beautiful products! Please also include an easy way for us to contact you if you win {eg email}.

The Cupcake Wrapper Co. will have a very cute pop up store at the inaugural Finders Keepers event in Melbourne this weekend.

As the generous ladies behind Cupcake Wrapper Co. always do for their special pop-up shoppe customers, a delightful discount is offered on all packs of wrappers. Selling at the market for $12.00 per pack, a saving of $2.95 a pack.

Due to overwhelming requests Cupcake Wrapper Co. will bring along their collection of vintage style cupcake toppers for sale. From Ballerinas, balloons, racing cars, clowns, footy and some lovely Paris ones too. You have to be quick though, as there aren't many!

Now what we all love, a freebie!!!!

If you register prior to visiting them at Finders Keepers you will receive a sample pack of wrappers. Simply go to the cupcake wrapper co Facebook page and add a comment on the finders keepers post, when you pop by their stall, you can collect your free sample pack. how good is that!!!

So make sure you visit this weekend, I know I cant wait to meet Kat 'n' Nat, the Cupcake Wrapper queens, and all their best sellers from polka dots, stripes, Paris, plus their pretty baroque and trellis wrappers. I'm going to stock up on the new circus wrappers which make their Pop-Up shoppe debut.

Oh and if you're one of those organised types, their will be Christmas designs for you, personally that's a little type A for me.

Portobello Bride Real Wedding - Elyse & Radek

Todays feature is a sweet take on a traditional wedding captured by SugarLove Weddings. What I love so much about this wedding is how Elyse and Radek mixed classic with pretty in such an elegant, youthful way.

I love the details in Elyse's dress.

Elyse wanted her girls dressed in something classic and elegant.

Each posy was full of rose, lisianthus, freesia and hyacinth.

What stands out the most for me with this wedding is Elyse and her gorgeous smile. Elyse chose a soft, vintage inspired empire-line gown, complimented by a 3.5 metre mantilla veil with beaded trim. The style suits her perfectly.

Married last May in Brisbane, Elyse and Radek chose a traditional church ceremony at Our Lady of Victories Church. Whilst the exterior of the church is simply stunning and made for perfect photos, the church held a special place in the couples heart as it's the Polish church Radek's family has attended for many years.

A simple but beautiful touch, paper doily cones filled with white rose petals for guests to shower the couple as they left the church

After the ceremony Elyse and Radek wanted to celebrate with a relaxed and intimate reception with their closest family and friends. They chose Restaurant Two for the occasion and the setting was simply elegant.
