Portobello Bride Real Wedding- Angelina & Anthony

Todays wedding was sent to us by the lovely Danielle from White + White Weddings & Events in Queensland.

Anthony and Angie, both Lawyers, met when Anthony moved to The Cayman Islands for a lifestyle change. From the very beginning the couples engagement and wedding was planned around their family and heritage.  Anthony proposed to Angie in her home town of Toronto Canada, in front of a boat named the Captain Matthew Flinders with a huge Australian flag.

The wedding was held on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and since Canada is where Angie grew up it was only fitting to base their theme on this commemorative day. Family and friends from across many continents including The Cayman Islands, Canada, England, Sweden and Australia helped the gorgeous couple celebrate their marriage in vibrant style.

Overseas guests received Australian inspired welcome packs containing mini boomerangs, Aussie slang and joke books, toy kangaroos and koalas, an Australian map keyring and of course Vegemite and Tim Tams. The weeks itinerary was planned for them with love and thought, including a visit to Australia Zoo and the Outback Spectacular Show at Movie World.

Angie wore an ivory lace Monique Lhuillier dress with a floor length french lace veil. Her bouquet with its Autumn inspired florals of roses, pomponii gerbera's,freesia, orchids and berries in reds, oranges, browns, greens and pink tones is stunning.

The beautiful bride arrived in style; her vintage champagne Rolls Royce is fabulous.

The three tier pumpkin spice wedding cake was was covered in ivory frosting and colourful gerberas and roses. keeping with the autumn theme, the favours were Aspen leaf shaped cookies with a thank you tag attached.

The Thanksgiving inspired reception featured three long banquet tables covered in brown  satin linen and brown tiffany chairs. An abundance of tea lights, colourful gerbera arrangements, autumn inspired blooms and wrought iron pumpkin and pear candle holders adorned the tables. Each guest received their own personalised menu and recipe book containing all the recipes from the Australian, Canadian and Cayman Islander cuisine that was served throughout the evening.

International cuisine was not the only stand out of the reception; music and dancing played a wonderful part in the celebrations too. A swing band entertained the guests during dinner and as the evening progressed a DJ got everyone up and dancing. He even taught the bride and her overseas family and friends an Australian bush Dance.  The most wonderful moment came  when the MC suprised the couple and guests with an impromptu traditional Cayman Island dance during the evening formalities.

With so much love and thought going into this wedding, I am not surprised Anthony and Angie made sure their own parents marriages were recognised with heartfelt sentiment. A video presentation of their parents weddings and their own special day were shown throughout the evening and wedding photos of their parents were placed at the entrance of the reception.

Thank you Danielle for sharing Angie and Anthony's vibrant wedding with us. I love all the sentiment that went into the details it's really a wonderful wedding story.
