Getting to Know... Adrian Tuazon Photography

What’s your favourite part of your job?
Capturing the moments when people are at their happiest and sharing in that joy. I always shed a tear.

What are you reading at the moment?
Frankie Magazine

What are you lusting after at the moment?
A Leica M7 rangefinder camera and 50mm f0.95 Noctilux lens. It costs an arm and a leg and five world trips.

Top three songs on your play list?
Stillness of the Mind, Drowning and Snow - tracks from the motion picture soundtrack “A Single Man”. I listen to it while editing. Very emotive.

What is your favourite moment during a wedding?
The vows.

Who inspires you?
Artists and photographers - Rodney Smith, Erik Almas, Ozzy Garcia, Jose Villa. And those dear to my heart – my family.

Favourite Cocktail?
I don’t really drink cocktails. I’m straight up wine or beer.

What does it take to impress you?
Intelligent, simple, honest and soulful work is powerful.

What is the best piece of advice you were ever given?
To do your own thing and find your own vision.

Favourite way to spend a Sunday?
Sleep in, read the paper, have brunch with the family and coffee.

Black Tie or Casual?
I can do both.

Your suggestion for a new name for ‘Hens party’:
A girlie affair.

Your favourite host gift to give?
A nice bottle of wine.

What’s the best gift you have ever received?
The birth of my son.

Three words that describe you best.

Detailed. Creative. Committed.
